The House At Pooh Corner

Methuen & Co London 1928

First edition / first impression

An original copy and dust wrapper with illustrations by E. H. Shepard.

The fourth and final book in the Winnie The Pooh series, this is when we meet Tigger for the first time and the game of poohsticks is invented.

The rear flap of the dust jacket shows 179th Thousand for When We Were Very Young, 96th Thousand for Winnie the Pooh and 109th Thousand for Now We Are Six, confirming that it is the First Edition/First Impression.

Book condition: In excellent condition. The top page edges are gilt. The gilt titles to the board covers are really bright. A little browning usually found on the endpapers.

Dust jacket condition: An excellent dust jacket. There are very small closed tears (but virtually no loss) to the folds of the dust jacket. The spine of the dust jacket has a touch of grubbiness but very little.

By some distance this is the best Winnie The Pooh volume I have come across – a beautiful copy of one of the most collectable children’s books of all time.
